About Nevis

The two-island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis is located in the Eastern Caribbean, at 17° 15’ North, 62° 40’ West, roughly 1,300 miles from Miami, 2,000 miles from New York, and 4,000 miles from London.

The climate is virtually ideal, with near-constant trade wind breezes providing moderate temperatures year-round.  Nevis, the smaller of the two islands is a quiet and unspoiled paradise island with 10,000 inhabitants.  It lies south of St. Kitts, separated by a two-mile channel and is easily reached from St. Kitts by frequent daily flights or by a 20-minute ferry service.

A dormant volcano, Mount Nevis, dominates the island, while mostly-deserted golden beaches, including Pinney’s Beach, acknowledged as one the most spectacular in the Caribbean, front its shores.  The capital city, Charlestown, is among the most charming in the West Indies, its quiet streets and Central Square lined with classic examples of West Indian architecture.

With its mild climate and easy accessibility, Nevis is an ideal destination for travelers year-round.
